Spherical roller bearing
Introduction
Spherical roller bearings have two rows of rollers. The bearings mainly bear radial load, and they also can withstand axial load in either direction. The bearings have a high radial load capacity, so they are especially suitable for working with heavy loads or vibration. But they are unable to bear pure axial load. The outer ring raceway of this kind bearing is spherical shape. So the aligning performance of this bearing is better and that can compensate for concentricity error.
Spherical roller bearings have two symmetrical spherical rollers, a common spherical raceway in outer ring, two raceways inclined at an angle to the bearing axis in inner ring and good aligning performance. When the axial is bending as given a force or the installation is not concentric, the bearing can work normally. The aligning performance varies in different size of bearing series. The aligning angle allowed is 1-2.5 degree. The load capacity of this bearing is greater. The bearing can bear bidirectional effect axial load except to support the radial load. The shock resistance of this bearing is better. Generally speaking, it is low that the rotational speed of spherical roller bearings allowed.
